Pre-Service History: Colonist. Growing up in Mindoir, Shepard had a simple upbringing. Everything changed when the Fire Nation slavers attacked, leaving Shepard without his parents. He was eventually saved by an Alliance patrol, which prompted him to eventually enlist a few years later.

Psychological Profile: Sole Survivor. During a mission on Akuze, he and his squad were attacked by a Thresher Maw. He was the only one to survive the attack, leaving only the scars of trauma behind.

Class: Vanguard. The biotic/soldier hybrid class. Shepard go zoom.

Paragade: Mostly Paragon choices throughout, with a few Renegade triggers in the second and third installments.

Mass Effect 1: Recruited all possible squad members; successfully talked the Talitha girl to stand down; (FEROS) helped make Zhu's Hope viable; spared Shiala; (NOVERIA) sided with Gianna Parasini and convinced Lorik Qui'in to testify; spared the Rachni queen; (VIRMIRE): convinced Wrex to stand down; helped keep Kirrahe and his men alive; saved Kaidan; did not spare Rana Thanoptis; (SQUAD LOYALTY): tried to spare Dr. Saleon/Dr. Heart; acquired Wrex's family armor; gave the data to Tali for her pilgrimage.

Mass Effect 2: Recruited all possible squad members, including Kasumi & Zaeed; Gave Jack access to Cerberus data; Saved all the workers during the recruitment of Thane; freed David from the experiment and punched Gavin in the face; activated Legion; (SQUAD LOYALTY): Spared Maelon and saved his data; Grunt went through the Rite of Passage; Jacob's father was left to be killed by the hunters; Garrus was persuaded not to kill Sidonis; Thane was able to reconcile with his son; the workers were saved, forcing Zaeed to let go of his grudge against Vido; Kasumi was persuaded to destroy the graybox and let go of the past; sided with Samara and let her kill Morinth; encouraged Miranda to speak with her sister; persuaded Jack not to kill Aresh; Tali no longer exiled and kept her father's experiments a secret; destroyed the heretics; (SUICIDE MISSION): Legion was the tech specialist; Jack held up the barrier on the Long Walk; Garrus led the fireteams both times; Mordin was sent back as an escort; Miranda and Kasumi join Shepard on the final assault of the Collector Base; the Collector Base is destroyed; and finally, Shepard tries to warn the Batarian civilians.

Mass Effect 3: Recruited all possible squad members, including Javik; Rescued the Grissom Academy students and put them in supporting roles; Rescued the Turian platoon on Tuchanka and dismantled the bomb; Cured the genophage; Successfully convinced Kaidan to stand down and took the kill shot against Udina; Rescued the defected scientists; did not let Aria kill Petrovsky; Saved Admiral Koris; Brokered peace between the geth and quarians.
